Human Made Red Heart White Graphic T Shirt: Read This Before You Order

White shows stains. I’m not going to pretend it doesn’t. If you’re the type who spills coffee on yourself twice a week, maybe look at the black version instead. No shame in that.

But here’s the thing about white. The red heart actually shows up. On black it’s there, sure, but it blends in more than people expect. On white, you see it from across the room. That’s why this one sells.

About the fabric, and why your shirt might fit slightly different than your friend’s

We wash these after we sew them. Not before. After. That shrinks the cotton and gives it that worn-in feel right out of the bag, but it also means nothing comes out exactly the same. Your medium might be a hair bigger than someone else’s medium. That’s just how it goes with this process. We’re not going to apologize for it because it’s the whole reason the shirt feels the way it does. If you want identical every time, buy something made in a factory that skips this step.

Cotton’s heavyweight. Not the thin stuff. The collar has double binder stitching so it won’t stretch out and go wavy after a few months. Most of our tees also have the heart printed below the back collar. You don’t see it in the mirror. Other people do.

Wearing it

Honestly just keep the rest simple. Light jeans, khakis, grey sweats, olive cargos. Anything solid. The shirt is loud enough on its own.

Cold weather? Throw a jacket over it. Denim jacket works. Our Human Made Jacket stuff works. If you’ve got a Human Made Hoodie, that layers fine underneath too, just don’t wear two graphics at once. Looks like you tried too hard.

Hat wise, the black Human Made 6PANEL LINEN CAP is the safe pick. Black and white, no thinking required.

The washing part. Please read this part.

I’ve seen too many of these shirts come back looking wrecked because someone threw it in a hot dryer. So.

Inside out. Every time. Not sometimes. Every time. The print rubs against the drum if you skip this and that’s how you get cracks.

Cold water. Hot water messes with the ink. There’s no benefit to hot water here, it doesn’t clean better, it just damages the graphic.

No bleach. Obviously no bleach on a red graphic, but also no bleach on white cotton if you want the shirt to last. It weakens the fibers.

No fabric softener. It coats the print and breaks it down over time. Skip it.

Spills? Deal with them same day. White fabric holds onto stains if you let them sit. Cold water, a drop of detergent, dab gently. Don’t scrub, you’ll just push it in further.

Drying. Hang it or lay it flat. That’s it. The dryer is what kills these. Heat softens the print, then it hardens, back and forth, until it cracks. If you absolutely have to use a machine, low heat, and take it out while it’s still damp.

Brand new shirt? Give it a day before the first wash. Let the ink settle.

Iron? Inside out, low heat, cloth in between. Or just steam it. Safer.

Other stuff we make

The tee is kind of the starting point. If you like the heart, we’ve got it on hoodies, jackets, the Human Hope line. There’s also the CPFM We’re Good! Cherry Hoodie, which we did with Cactus Plant Flea Market. Pharrell’s people did the cherry, we built the hoodie.

Sizing

Boxy. Wide shoulders, roomy body. If you want it fitted, size down. If you want how we designed it, take your normal size. Check the chart if you’re between sizes. And remember what I said about the wash process, measurements aren’t going to be identical shirt to shirt.

Questions we get a lot

Does the heart crack after washing?
Not if you do it right. Cold water, inside out, air dry. Heat is the problem, not water.

True to size?
Boxy fit. Not slim, not oversized. Between sizes, size down for fitted, up for loose.

Dryer okay?
You can. I wouldn’t. Low heat, pull it early if you do.

What’s different about Human Made compared to other streetwear?
Vintage wash, uneven fabric, and the heart actually means something. NIGO built this on craft.

How do I wear it in summer?
On its own, shorts, black 6PANEL LINEN CAP. Keep everything else neutral.

What does the heart mean?
Sincerity. Human connection. That’s the whole reason the brand is called Human Made.
